High Rochester Roman Fort (Bremenium)

• 78 AD The fort was originally built
• 139 AD rebuilt in the Antonine period.
• 205 AD During the Severan period.
• 306 AD a 3rd rebuild took place during the Constantine period.
• 350 AD The fort was destroyed and never restored.

• a detachment of the Sixth Legion ( see RIB 1283),
• a detachment of the 20th Legion (RIB 1284)
• a detachment of the Fourth Cohort of Gauls (RIB 3491)
• a detachment of the Second Cohort of Nervii (RIB 3491)
