Tower of Hercules - lighthouse

Torres Brigantium ( Tower of Hercules)

In the History of the Britons (Historia Brittonum) 858 AD by Nennius  it is said the people of Scotland came from Northern Spain to become the Brigantes tribe in Britain. I visited the only still working Roman Lighthouse in A Coruna, Spain in 2008 and climbed to the top. It is called the Torres Brigantium and the displays mention the journey to Britain. There is another Roman lighthouse that still survives as part of Dover castle

In 2005 on a visit to Northern Spain and a village in the mountains I was surprised by the sound of Galacian bagpipes and the similarities to Scottish culture.
