Second Cohort of Tungrians
This unit from Belgium was stationed at various Mumrills Fort on the Antonine Wall Cramond Fort near Edinburgh and Birrens fort near Dumfries. It left an altar in Cramond Fort. Later they were stationed on Hadrian’s Wall at Castlesteads Roman Fort.
In 241 AD it was stationed near Carlisle
