9th Legion

The 9th (VIIII Hispania) Legion came to Britain during the invasion of Britain in 46 AD. It was stationed at Lincoln and York. Then in 79AD was part of the invasion force that Agricola led into Scotland. Tiles made by this legion have been found in York and Carlisle. It is the fabled lost legion of the 9th but in real life, it was recorded as being on the Rhine after leaving Scotland.
