Mars God of War
In ancient Roman mythology, Mars was the god of war and an essential figure in their pantheon. As the son of Jupiter and Juno, he embodied military power, courage, strength, and valour. Mars’s festivals were celebrated in both spring and autumn, marking the beginning and end of agricultural and military seasons. His influence extended beyond warfare; he also served as an agricultural guardian, a unique combination characteristic of early Rome.
