Dundee Museum – the mcmanus

The McManus is Dundee’s principal museum and art gallery. Its archaeology collections are particularly important for the Roman story of the Tay, including extensive material from the Severan fortress at Carpow.

Only a proportion of Dundee’s archaeological collection is displayed at any one time, but the permanent galleries introduce the long history of Tayside. The wider stored collection includes the most extensive group of Roman material from Carpow outside National Museums Scotland.
