Antonine Wall: archaeological site report
Kinneil’s Roman Fortlet is one of the milecastles built by the Romans around 140 AD as part of the Antonine Wall, the Empire’s most northerly frontier. Not much is known as it was discovered in 1978.
Watch: Kinneil reconstructed
These digital interpretations show how the Roman site may have looked. They are reconstructions, rather than footage of surviving Roman buildings.
