Perth Museum and Art Gallery

Perth Museum places the Roman occupation within 10,000 years of history around the Tay. Its archaeological displays provide useful context for major sites including Carpow, Inchtuthil and Bertha, as well as the roads, camps and forts of Strathmore.

The museum contains objects and interpretation from Perth and Kinross, although the Roman story forms only one part of much broader galleries. Displays may include material connected with the great legionary fortress at Inchtuthil, the Severan fort at Carpow and other sites around the Tay.
